The Story of Secret Beach Bakes

How the Journey Started

I have always enjoyed baking and learning new recipes. I grew up with a very good role model in my Grandad and my true inspiration has always came from him. From a very young age, I can remember baking on a Saturday night with my grandad.

Even now, all these years later, I still bake in the kitchen with my grandad, however, this has turned into somewhat of a competition of who can make what better! With my Grandad always thinking he wins! (I beg to differ :) )

We made a huge change to our lives in the year before we were faced with the unimgainable. We packed up our lives and relocated back up North to my home town.

Then the First Lockdown hit and this is when my passion for baking really started to accelerate. 

​

I started being more adventurous with my recipes and trying different types of baking and it was from there my love for Cheesecakes was born. I started making these more and more and started creating cakes alongside these for friends birthdays and I have lost count of how many people have told me that I should make something of this. 

​

This is when Secret Beach Bakes was found. 

​

The name we chose is very unique, we live in a lovely house near what is called 'The Secret Beach' and we decided there could be no better fitting name. 

​

So please join me and my family on our new journey blogging about everything sweet, creating new creations and selling to those that love everything from cakes to cheesecakes and everything in between
